Nghe An: Emergency arrest of man who slashed 2 people seriously injured at beer pub
(Baonghean.vn) - Nearly 2 days after swinging a knife and slashing two people at a beer hall inVinh City (Nghe An)hospitalized, 23-year-old suspect arrested by police.
On the afternoon of June 6, Major Nguyen Huu Cuong (Deputy Chief of Vinh City Police) said that the unit had issued an emergency arrest warrant for Nguyen Thanh Trung (born in 1993, residing in Tan Tien block, Le Mao ward, Vinh city) to investigate the act of intentionally causing injury.
Police investigation said that at around 8:00 p.m. on June 4, Nguyen Thanh Trung went to Pocpoc beer bar, number 22, Nguyen Tai street, Truong Thi ward (Vinh city) to drink beer.
At around 10:30 p.m. the same day, Nguyen Thanh Trung met Nguyen Huu An (born in 1983, residing in Cua Nam ward, Vinh city); Chu Trong Tu (born in 1985, residing in Hung Binh ward), who were acquaintances from before, and some other people who were also drinking beer at the drinking table next to him.

Nguyen Thanh Trung came to invite Mr. Nguyen Huu An to drink beer and socialize, then a conflict arose between Trung and An. Trung and An had a loud argument, but were stopped by everyone. After leaving the bar to return home, a short while later, Trung took a knife longer than 1 meter and drove back to the beer bar, stabbed Mr. An in the left side, and slashed Mr. Tu's forearm.
Both victims were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The perpetrator fled with the weapon.
Immediately after the incident, the Vinh City Police Department focused on examining the scene, taking statements from witnesses and victims, identifying the suspect and his escape route. Using professional measures, on June 6, Vinh City Police arrested Nguyen Thanh Trung.
The case is still under investigation. The two victims are being treated at the hospital.
