Nghe An quarantines 21 people in close contact with 'patient 435'
(Baonghean.vn) - That same night, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An organized a quarantine zone for 21 people who had close contact with the patient, and at the same time screened F2 members to proactively quarantine them at home.
At 10:00 p.m. on July 28, the delegation of Nghe An Department of Health was still present in Quynh Luu district to direct the work of screening and zoning to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic.
"Up to this point, 21 people have been identified as F1 of 'patient 435'. These people have been taken to centralized quarantine at the medical station. Of the 21 people, there are 2 people in Quynh Vinh commune, 2 people in Quynh Luong commune and 2 people in Hoang Mai town", said Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of the Center for Disease Control of Nghe An province.

"We just held an urgent meeting chaired by the Director of the Department of Health. The point of view is to quarantine all F1s, and at the same time screen all F2s for home quarantine. In addition, the unit also organized zoning and disinfecting the places where the patient had been more than a week ago," Mr. Dinh added.
"Patient 435", female, 29 years old, temporarily residing in An Hai Dong ward, Son Tra district, Da Nang city, is from An Hoa commune, Quynh Luu district. This patient is an employee of the Traditional Medicine Department, Da Nang Hospital. On July 27, the patient's sample was taken for testing, the result was positive for nCoV.

Before being diagnosed with the disease, on July 19, this nurse brought her boyfriend from Da Nang to her hometown in An Hoa commune to meet him. There, the family held a party. According to the family, during the 2 days in the hometown, the patient went to the market and some places, however, every time she went out, she wore a mask.

From July 21 to 23, the patient continued to work at the Department of Traditional Medicine, Da Nang Hospital. On July 23, the patient went to address K19/18 Hoang Hoa Tham - Vinh Trung Ward - Thanh Khe District - Da Nang.
At 8:00 p.m. on July 26, while working at the Department of Traditional Medicine, the patient showed signs of fever and was screened at the Emergency Department, Da Nang Hospital, then transferred to the isolation area at the Department of Internal Medicine, Da Nang Hospital.
