(Baonghean.vn) - Since January 10, there have been strong northeast winds in the Gulf of Tonkin. The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Nghe An province has issued Official Dispatch No. 01//VP-PCTT, directing measures to respond to strong winds at sea.

According to the bulletin of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from early morning on January 10, 2024, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the Northeast wind will be strong at level 5, sometimes at level 6, gusting to level 7. From the afternoon and night of January 10, 2024, the North East Sea area (including the waters of the Hoang Sa archipelago) will have Northeast winds gradually strengthening to level 6, especially in the Northeast sea area, sometimes at level 7, gusting to level 8; the sea area west of the South East Sea area (including the waters west of the Hoang Sa archipelago) will have strong Northeast winds at level 6, gusting to level 7.

To proactively respond to strong winds at sea, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense requests the Steering Committees of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of coastal districts and towns and related agencies and units to:

Closely monitor information and developments of strong winds at sea; notify captains and owners of vehicles and vessels operating at sea to proactively prevent and have appropriate production plans.ensure safetyabout people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle possible bad situations.

Prepare forces and means to deploy workrescuewhen there is a situation

Strengthen information and communication work on weather developments, natural disasters and measures to respond to strong winds at sea on mass media so that people can proactively prevent and minimize damage.

The units organize their duty seriously and regularly report to the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense.
