Specifically, financial support for hiring a cook to serve boarding children at a rate of 135% of the basic salary/month/35 nursery children or 50 kindergarten children; the remaining 20 children or more will be calculated one more time, but each school will only be supported a maximum of 5 times the rate/month; the support period will not exceed 9 months/year.
JobProvincial People's CouncilThrough the support plan, it has significantly contributed to helping schools and parents save part of the cost of organizing boarding for children.
Regarding this issue, Nghe An Newspaper has also published many articles reflecting on the difficulties and hardships in organizing boarding schools in preschools in extremely disadvantaged areas, especially at remote schools. Many schools, instead of organizingboardingThe focus is on implementing a boarding model for foster parents or foster mothers.
Currently, according to a survey by the Department of Education and Training, the whole province has 123 schools.preschoolpublic schools in particularly difficult areas. However, currently 100% of schools have organized boarding for children, of which, there are 320 schools with cooking at school (accounting for 65.9%). The number of children with cooking at school is 34,298/38,440 children, accounting for 89.2%.
However, the implementation of boarding work is still very difficult, because the facilities of the remote schools areparticularly difficult communeThere are still many limitations such as temporary classrooms and no safe kitchen to cook at school for children (currently there are 181 separate schools without kitchens). Meanwhile, the subsidy for children's meals according to Decree 06/2018 and Decree 105/2020 (160,000 VND/child/month) only meets 50% of the daily food allowance compared to the average minimum meal allowance to ensure daily nutrition for children. Therefore, only 60% of schools mobilize parents to contribute an additional 15,000 VND/child/day; the rest only organize lunch for children, and parents ensure additional meals.
In particular, children of nursery age (under 36 months) are not eligible for lunch support according to Government regulations, making it difficult for parents to organize boarding at school.
