According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the afternoon of February 7, the Northern and North Central regions will experience severe cold, mountainous areas will be extremely cold, and high mountainous areas will likely experience frost.

Accordingly, the lowest temperature is commonly from 9-12 degrees, in the Northern mountainous area from 5-8 degrees, in the high mountainous area below 2 degrees in some places; in the Gulf of Tonkin, the northern, central and southern areas of the East Sea, the sea area from Quang Tri to Ca Mau has strong northeast winds of level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9.

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 813 dated February 5, 2025 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on proactively responding to severe cold and strong winds at sea; to proactively respond, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense requests the Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of districts, cities and towns; relevant agencies and units to implement the following contents:

For cold:

Continue to implement Official Dispatch No. 01 dated January 28, 2025 of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense.

Closely monitor warning bulletins and forecasts on the development of cold air and promptly inform local authorities and people to proactively prevent it.

Review cold response plans; provide guidance on ensuring people's health, and do not use coal stoves to heat closed rooms to avoid human casualties.

Propagating and guiding livestock households to strengthen barns, cover and keep warm, store food; prevent and control epidemics for livestock and poultry; instructing on measures to ensure safety for rice, vegetable and other crop production.

For strong winds at sea (coastal districts and towns):Closely monitor warning bulletins, forecasts and developments of strong winds at sea; notify captains and owners of vehicles and vessels operating at sea to proactively prevent and have appropriate production plans, ensuring safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle possible bad situations.

At the same time, organize the duty seriously, regularly report to the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense.
