(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 11, in Vinh City, the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association to evaluate the results of the coordination in 2015.
Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting. Also attending the meeting were representatives of relevant departments, agencies and organizations.

In 2015, based on the coordination program, Nghe An Farmers' Association has developed and coordinated the implementation of many exciting emulation movements in all levels of Farmers' Association. The whole province has over 253,000 households registered to participate, of which nearly 147,000 households achieved the title of good production and business; the number of households with an income of over 200 million VND/year doubled compared to 2014.
Through mutual assistance and mutual support models, jobs have been created for 150,000 seasonal workers and 100 workers with regular jobs. The Provincial People's Committee supported 540 million VND for the Farmers' Association to coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to build 5 economic models, each model generating an average income of 160 to 180 million VND; Farmers' Associations at all levels have actively contributed to the implementation of the New Rural Development Program with 44 recognized communes.

In addition to the above results, the Association also coordinated with the Provincial Border Guard, relevant departments and the provincial press agencies to propagate and mobilize members to well implement the Party's policies and guidelines in border and island areas, actively encourage Vietnamese people to use Vietnamese goods; provide vocational training for nearly 9,000 rural workers; effectively manage the farmer support fund; provide training to improve knowledge on the application of science and technology in production; coordinate to participate in monitoring and criticizing policies and mechanisms related to agriculture, rural areas and farmers.

At the meeting, along with reviewing the results of coordination in 2015, representatives of the Provincial Farmers’ Association and a number of related departments boldly pointed out some existing limitations. Based on clarifying the causes, representatives of the departments also proposed a number of directions and solutions to overcome them and coordinate more effectively in the coming year.

After representatives of departments and branches gave their comments, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee concluded and highly appreciated the coordination results of the Provincial Farmers' Association with relevant departments and branches in 2015.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that in the coming time, all levels of the association should review the regulations, expand the coordination regulations between the association and a number of other sectors and organizations; review the results of the implemented models in line with the province's key tree planning orientation to have better guidance; focus on vocational training for farmers; promptly evaluate and summarize to transfer and replicate effective models suitable to the conditions of each region; continue to mobilize members to participate more enthusiastically and actively in implementing the national target program on new rural construction, gradually increasing people's income.
