The Ethnic Committee issued Decision No. 75/QD-UBDT approving the list of extremely disadvantaged villages eligible for investment under Program 135 in 2016.
Specifically, the list of 3,423 extremely disadvantaged villages of 49 provinces and centrally run cities was approved for investment under Program 135 in 2016. Of which, the central budget supported investment in 3,372 villages of 41 provinces; local budget invested in 51 villages of 8 provinces and centrally run cities: Quang Ninh; Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Hai Duong, Khanh Hoa, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Can Tho, Dong Nai.

According to Decision No.551/QD-TTgof the Prime Minister, Program 135 includes support for infrastructure investment, support for production development for extremely disadvantaged communes, border communes, safe zone communes, extremely disadvantaged villages and hamlets in the period 2012 - 2015, is a component project of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction and the period 2016 - 2020. In the period of 2016 - 2020, strengthen essential infrastructure serving production, business and people's lives in extremely disadvantaged communes, border communes, safe zone communes, and extremely disadvantaged villages and hamlets; contribute to promoting socio-economic development, improving people's lives, and reducing poverty quickly and sustainably. |
