(Baonghean.vn) - Before the start of V.League 2019, referees and assistant referees attending the first phase of training underwent physical tests and assessments. Accordingly, Nghe An had 5 referees who met the requirements.

A total of 116 referees and assistant referees were summoned to participate in the test. It is known that the referees must undergo the following tests: CODA Test (Change of Direction Ability), speed running 6 times 40m each time with a maximum time of 6s10, running with rest 40 times, running 75m in 15s and walking 25m in 20s.

During the inspection, there were 3 referees who failed to complete their duties in the National First Division, including: Tran Van Lap (Da Nang), Le Khac Thanh (Binh Duong), and Le Luu Quang (Binh Dinh).

This means that these 3 referees will not be able to officiate matches in the first phase of the 2019 season. They will have to wait for the opportunity during the mid-phase physical test to have the opportunity to officiate in the second leg.

There are 5 referees from Nghe An who have completed the test and are qualified to work in V.League and First Division: Nguyen Tuan Minh, Duong Viet Dung, Nguyen Hoang Anh, Nguyen Dinh Thai, Tran Duy Khanh.

In particular, two referees Nguyen Dinh Thai (Main Referee) and Tran Duy Khanh (FIFA-qualified Linesman) are on duty at the 2019 V.League National Championship.

Also related to the referee issue is the video assistant referee (VAR) technology. Currently, VPF is waiting for a partner to provide equipment, build a system for V.League 1 and give a quote, then proceed to the negotiation step and have to go through many stages, in which the final stage is to be approved by FIFA before it can be used./.
