Nghe An has 6 artists named at the ceremony to honor outstanding artists in the performing arts field in 2022.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee honored 63 artists who won Gold Medals at Festivals organized by the Department of Performing Arts in 2022.

Of which, Nghe An has 6 artists honored including:

1. People's Artist Hong Luu - Director of the Provincial Traditional Arts Center. People's Artist Hong Luu is a prominent stage performer, having won many Gold Medals at professional stage festivals. In 2022, she won a Gold Medal for the play "Canh Stork Trong Storm" at the Tuong and Folk Opera Festival. As the center's director, she had many specific programs and plans for the Center to win 3 Gold Medals last year: Gold Medal at the Tuong and Folk Opera Festival; National Music and Dance Festival and ASEAN Festival 2022.

2. Meritorious Artist An Ninh - former head of the art direction team, Provincial Traditional Arts Center. As a typical artist in the field of performance and script adaptation, he has had many excellent adaptations that left an impression on the public and the art world.

3. Meritorious Artist Duc Lam is an excellent performer with memorable roles. In 2022, at the Tuong and Opera Festival, he won a gold medal for the play Vang Sang.

4. Artist Que Thuong - singer who has won many awards at professional art festivals and has made many contributions to the province's traditional music. In 2022, Que Thuong won the Gold Medal at the National Music and Dance Festival with the workRiver Soul.

5. Artist Quynh Trang, a traditional instrument artist, just won a Gold Medal for solo performance of the monochord at the ASEAN Music Festival.

6. Artist Minh An, a traditional instrument artist, just won the ASEAN Music Festival Excellence Award.

The organizers also honored outstanding artists and programs in 6 categories: Outstanding TV actor, Outstanding singer, Outstanding movie actor, Community artist, Outstanding music and dance live show, Outstanding music video.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Tran Tuan Anh affirmed that the honoring ceremony is a meaningful activity to concretize the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, Resolution No. 33, Conclusion No. 76 of the Politburo, the Strategy for the development of Vietnam's cultural sector to 2030 and the Conclusion of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the 2021 Cultural Conference.

He also suggested that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism continue to pay attention to and nurture the country's artists and artistic talents; create favorable conditions for artists to work and promote their talents; and at the same time, the Ministry should have plans and solutions to popularize valuable works of art.
