Nghe An has a typical example recognized as 'Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer of 2018'

Following the success of the previous 5 times of organizing the Voting and awarding the title of Excellent Vietnamese Farmer, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union in coordination with the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade continued to organize the Voting for the title of Excellent Vietnamese Farmer in 2018. At the same time, Nong Thon Ngay Nay Newspaper was assigned to preside over and coordinate with Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company to directly organize the implementation.

Based on 148 nominations from 63 provinces and cities, the Final Selection Council of the "Pride of Vietnamese Farmers" Program has researched, compared with 4 criteria and carefully considered, selecting 63 most typical farmers worthy of the title "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmers 2018".

These are members and farmers with the most outstanding achievements in the three major emulation movements of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, including: "Farmers' movement to compete in production, good business, solidarity to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably"; "Farmers' movement to compete in building new rural areas" and "Farmers' movement to participate in ensuring national defense and security".

63 outstanding farmers were selected according to 6 main fields: Cultivation, animal husbandry, invention - technical improvement, agricultural production and processing, new rural construction, ensuring national security and defense.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Pham Tien Nam - Vice Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union said: "The 63 "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmers 2018" honored and awarded the title are all dynamic, creative farmers with the will to overcome difficulties to get rich and live responsibly and affectionately with the community. The production and business models of agricultural and rural products of the Outstanding Vietnamese Farmers 2018 are all strengths of agriculture in regions, areas and localities nationwide and most of them belong to the product groups in the export-oriented development strategy of the agricultural sector.

Many Outstanding Vietnamese Farmers of 2018, during their work and production, have researched and created initiatives and technical solutions to improve productivity and quality of agricultural products. Considering all 19 criteria in building new rural areas, the "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmers of 2018" are all core members with significant contributions...

The ceremony to honor and award the title of “Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer 2018” will be solemnly held and broadcast live on Vietnam Television on the evening of October 14 at the Hanoi Friendship Cultural Palace with the participation of representatives of the Party, State, Government, Vietnam Fatherland Front, central and local departments, ministries and branches.

In addition, the program "Pride of Vietnamese Farmers 2018" has many outstanding activities and events that have been and will be organized such as taking "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmers" to visit and learn about modern agricultural production and business models at home and abroad; the 2018 National Farmers Forum with the theme "Unleashing Vietnamese Agricultural Products"; the 5th National Press Award "Pride of Vietnamese Farmers".
