(Baonghean.vn) - A report by the People's Committee of Nghe An province shows that the whole province has 14,829 agricultural, forestry and fishery processing establishments. This is also the industry that creates jobs for about 30,000 people.

Seafood processing is a quite vibrant field. Nghe An has currently built 14 concentrated seafood processing zones with a total area of ​​78.83 hectares, creating a source of raw materials for seafood processing facilities in the area to operate stably. The whole province currently has 10 large frozen processing facilities and hundreds of other small facilities.

Fishmeal processing has made strong breakthroughs in output and scale. In 2013, two factories were built, Xuri Viet Trung Fishmeal Processing Factory and Hai An Processing Factory, with modern technology and equipment, each factory processing capacity of 15 - 20 tons of fishmeal/day.

Production facilities in industries such as sugar, tea, sugarcane, seafood, wood chips... also create jobs for tens of thousands of workers.

If the industrial production value of agricultural, forestry, fishery and food processing increased from 7,253 billion VND in 2010, it now reaches 13,696 billion VND, the scale of production value increased nearly 2 times; the average growth rate is 11.17%, accounting for 35.45% of the total industrial production value structure.
