Nghe An: Trade unions at all levels aim for the great national festival

Looking forward to the big festival, many voters also expressed their hopes and beliefs about a new term with many innovations, attention and care for the lives of workers.

Communicate to each worker

One day before the Covid-19 epidemic returned to Vietnam, the Provincial Labor Federation visited Manh Thanh Company Limited in Nghia Dong Commune, Tan Ky District to organize propaganda about the election. Because the workers had to work in shifts, instead of organizing a whole session, the propaganda session was held in the late afternoon, taking advantage of the time when the workers were off work.

When the delegation of the Labor Federation arrived, the preparation work had just begun. There were no flags or many visual images, but in the simple hall, the propaganda session still received the attention of many workers. Before that, in order for the propaganda session to be carried out smoothly, the Labor Federation of Tan Ky district had also directly discussed with the company's leaders and mentioned this special activity. Although at the present time, there was a shortage of labor and orders were urgent, the unit's leaders were still very excited.

This is also the first time the company has welcomed a delegation ofProvincial Federation of Labor. In order for the propaganda session to be effective, both conveying the meaning and spirit of the national election day but also being lively and practical, the propaganda staff of the federation have built a quite attractive scenario. In which, the main content related to the election such as the meaning and importance of the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term; achievements of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels over the periods... are summarized in the first 30 minutes. The remaining time is mostly still content related to the election, especially the rights and obligations of citizens going to vote, the form of election, how to vote... are popularized in the form of games, so workers participate very enthusiastically.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga is a worker who has worked at the company for nearly 2 years, but this is the first time she has attended a media session where she is both an audience and a player, showing her understanding of the election program. At the end of each game, the participants receive a prize, so she is very happy. Sharing her feelings, she confided: In our factory, for a long time, workers have mainly worked shifts and then returned home, without time to participate in activities in the village or hamlet. Therefore, when the Provincial Federation of Labor organized this program, we really found it meaningful and believed that we would be serious voters, completing the election program well.

In addition to Tan Ky, in preparation for the great national festival, the Provincial Labor Federation also visited workers at the Coffee-Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. - a member of the Agricultural Trade Union, and will soon have a special propaganda session with workers in the boarding house in the Nam Cam Industrial Park.

As the "leader" and scriptwriter of the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Propaganda - Women's Union - Provincial Labor Federation said: Propagating about the contents surrounding the election of the National Assembly and People's Council is not difficult, but how to propagate so that workers feel happy, excited and do not give up halfway is a problem that needs to be considered.

Therefore, when planning live communication sessions, we have to combine many contents, including knowledge, games, music, and group interaction. Personally, I am happy because through these communication sessions, we can get closer to the workers and help equip them with useful information about election day.

Sending trust and expectations

ElectorThe National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels are an important political event for the entire Vietnamese people. For that reason, since February, the Provincial Labor Federation has developed a plan to propagate the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term with many practical and meaningful contents. It focuses on 6 main contents including:The purpose, significance and importance of the election, the achievements of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels over the years; Propagating the effective leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels in the election work, emphasizing the role and sense of responsibility of trade union organizations and propagating patriotic emulation movements and celebration activities; promptly praising collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the election work, especially elections in border areas, islands, areas with many difficulties, ethnic minority and religious areas...

In accordance with this instruction, in addition to the direct unit of the Provincial Federation of Labor, grassroots labor federations have also integrated election propaganda content into union activities, especially during the Workers' Month. Since the end of April, in response to the program of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Federation of Labor has also organized an online contest "Workers, civil servants, and laborers with the national festival" and attracted a large number of workers to participate.

Currently, according to statistics, Nghe An has more than 32,000 workers participating in the contest, ranking 2nd in the country in terms of the number of workers participating and 3rd in the country in terms of the number of people registering for the contest with more than 17,000 candidates. In addition, from April 1 to 30, the Ministry of Justice chaired and coordinated with the National Assembly Office to organize the Online Contest "Learning about the law on the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies" and under the direction of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, it is also the unit in the top group with the largest number of contestants nationwide.

Preparing for the election day of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, workers, laborers and civil servants in the province also put a lot of trust in the term, especially when the candidate list includes representatives of the industry. As for the nominees, the delegates have also clearly demonstrated their responsibilities.

Talking about this, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hong - Chairman of the Yen Thanh District Labor Federation - candidate for the 18th Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term shared: Being introduced by the trade union organization, being trusted by voters at my workplace and place of residence and being introduced to join the candidate list is a great honor for me but also a very heavy responsibility. Personally, I always affirm that a People's Council delegate is someone who carries the responsibility of representing the will and aspirations of the people, representing the people's right to mastery. But besides that, in the role of a trade unionist, if elected, I will focus a lot of time listening to the voices of workers, promptly reflecting their thoughts and difficulties and proposing solutions to further improve the lives of workers and civil servants.

Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation Kha Van Tam is also a candidate for the Provincial People's Council in this term. Therefore, in the action program, the head of the Provincial Labor Union also devoted much concern to the work of the provincial labor union and the laborers.

If elected, I will continue to work with the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor to closely follow reality, focus on the grassroots, care for and protect the legitimate interests of cadres, civil servants, employees, and workers, and build a strong Trade Union organization.
