After two years (2009 to 2010) of implementing the project "Communication and advocacy for corneal donation" in 36 communes and wards of Vinh city, Cua Lo town and Dien Chau district (Nghe An), 2,156 volunteers registered to donate corneas, reaching 107.8% of the assigned plan.

The project "Communication and advocacy for corneal donation" sponsored by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross in collaboration with the ORBIS organization in Southeast Asia has been piloted in 10 provinces/cities, including Nghe An province.
Under the direction and supervision of the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Project Management Board, after two years (from 2009 to 2010) of implementing the project in 36 communes and wards of 3 units including Vinh City, Cua Lo Town and Dien Chau District, the result was that 2,156 volunteers registered to donate corneas, reaching 107.8% of the assigned plan.
Registering to donate your corneas when you die is a noble act of leaving behind a part of your body to bring light to those less fortunate.
