Nghe An leads the National Wrestling Championship

At the end of the 2011 National Wrestling Championship, Nghe An won first place overall with 2 gold medals from masters Dao Xuan Luyen and Hoang Van Cong, 2 silver medals from Nguyen Dinh Bao and Pham Van Hung and 1 bronze medal from Nguyen Huu Tho.

Following Nghe An is the host Hanoi with 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 6 bronze medals. Third is the wrestling team of Thai Nguyen province with 2 gold medals and 2 bronze medals.

Dao Xuan Luyen received gold medal.

The 15th National Wrestling Championship attracted 97 athletes from 12 provinces, cities and sectors such as: Hanoi, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Long An, Nghe An, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Ministry of Public Security, Army, Ministry of Education and Training to compete at Ninh Hiep wrestling arena (Gia Lam-Hanoi). Athletes competed in 12 weight categories from 45 kg to over 85 kg in 2 individual and team events. Nghe An delegation participated with 10 athletes, under the guidance of 2 coaches Dang Xuan Nghia and Nguyen Dinh Nam.

According to experts, this year's matches were of high quality because the participating teams had strong athletes and were well prepared. The matches with famous wrestlers from Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, and Nghe An all received enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
