Nghe An invests 125 billion VND in building Dien Kim bridge

(Baonghean.vn) - As a vital bridge connecting the two communes of Dien Bich and Dien Kim (Dien Chau district), in recent years, this bridge has seriously degraded, causing anxiety and insecurity among the people.
This is a permanent reinforced concrete bridge with a width of 9m and a length of about 285m. The road at both ends of the bridge has a total length of about 600m, invested in construction with the scale of a level V plain road, the roadbed is 7.5m wide; the road surface is 5.5m wide, the shoulder on each side is reinforced 0.5m with the same structure as the road surface.

The total investment of the project is 125 billion VND, including the central budget from the reserve fund for the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2016 - 2020 of 19 billion VND.
In addition, the provincial budget for the period 2021-2025 (including targeted additional central budget capital for localities, local budget balance sources according to principles, criteria and norms for allocating development investment capital for the period 2021-2025 for Dien Chau district) is 81 billion VND. The district budget and mobilized other legal capital sources are 25 billion VND.
The current Dien Kim Bridge was built in 1997, more than 100m long, 3m wide. In 2016, the bridge was repaired and upgraded, but is increasingly deteriorating.
Therefore, the construction of the new Dien Kim bridge will contribute to completing the traffic network system, meeting the travel and trade needs of people in the region and neighboring areas, facilitating investment attraction, connecting key economic zones, and promoting the strengths of the marine economy.
The new bridge also serves rescue and relief during the rainy and stormy season; ensures the implementation of the economic development plan of Dien Chau district and the region, contributes to promoting socio-economic development, strengthening and consolidating security and national defense.
