Nghe An: Promoting the development of commercial infrastructure
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 4, comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to and give opinions on the Draft "Project on developing commercial infrastructure in Nghe An province for the period 2016 - 2020".
Attending were representatives of relevant departments, branches and units.
The report of the Department of Industry and Trade shows that the commercial infrastructure in the province has been focused on development in recent times and achieved important results; contributing to increasing the total retail sales of goods continuously for many years (from over 16 trillion VND in 2010 to 48 trillion VND in 2015).
The development of commercial infrastructure has promoted the consumption of goods produced in and outside the province. The method of operating technology, management and business operation of various types of commercial infrastructure is increasingly developing in a civilized and modern direction.

Specifically, the market network has been upgraded, renovated and newly built, currently there are 397 traditional markets in the province, meeting the demand for goods circulation. With a system of 42 supermarkets and 4 commercial centers, it has contributed to the formation of a modern urban space structure. The supply of goods for the supermarket network and commercial centers has been improved in terms of scale, structure, variety and quality. There have been foreign distributors in the supermarket system and commercial centers, contributing to the standardization of standards on the form and content of business organization.
The petroleum business system and filling stations are mostly invested in accordance with standards and operate effectively. The system of general stores, specialized stores, and self-service stores has been formed and developed quite rapidly, serving the increasing consumer demand...
In addition, e-commerce trading floors have also contributed to providing information, supporting businesses to promote, learn about customers, expand markets; thereby significantly increasing revenue and the number of products consumed.

However, in general, the scale of commercial infrastructure is still limited, traditional and backward businesses, temporary markets, and flea markets exist quite a lot. Modern business types such as supermarkets and shopping centers are still few and mostly do not meet standards; some modern trading types have not been formed. The technical facilities of some facilities in the commercial infrastructure system have not met the requirements. The distribution of the commercial infrastructure system is not reasonable and harmonious, only focusing on development in urban areas...

Concluding the meeting, comrade Le Xuan Dai suggested: The Department of Industry and Trade needs to evaluate each type of commercial infrastructure; focus more specifically on the current situation and solutions for e-commerce infrastructure in the province. The agency in charge of the project will receive opinions from departments and branches to complete solutions for developing commercial infrastructure from now until 2020. In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to prioritizing investment resources and creating a legal corridor and favorable conditions for businesses to invest in developing commercial infrastructure in the coming time.
