Nghe An investigates illegal tiger captivity case

On the morning of October 22, Mr. Le Cao Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Head of the Nghe An Forestry Sub-Department, said: Up to this point, no cases of illegal tiger captivity have been discovered in Do Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.

Currently, functional agencies such as the police, forest rangers, local authorities, etc. continue to deploy professional measures to investigate and verify. If any cases of illegal tiger captivity are discovered, effective preventive measures will be promptly applied and violators will be strictly handled according to the provisions of the law.

Previously, regarding the case of illegal tiger farming in Do Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district requested the district police to investigate and detect violations; requested the Chairman of the People's Committee of Do Thanh commune to direct the functional forces of the commune and hamlets to conduct statistics on tiger farming, as well as wild animals in the area and direct the functional forces to investigate whether or not citizens of Do Thanh commune were keeping 4 tigers./.
