Nghe An: During the holidays, "illegal" passenger buses increase ticket prices indiscriminately
(Baonghean.vn) - During the April 30 and May 1 holidays, transport units at Nghe An Bus Station and Vinh Railway Station increased trips to meet customer demand. Ticket prices at Nghe An Bus Station increased slightly, as expected, from 5-10%; while other passenger buses increased their ticket prices indiscriminately.

On the occasion of the 4-day holiday of April 30 and May 1, the demand for going home to rest, go out, visit, etc. has increased. A representative of Nghe An Bus Station Joint Stock Company said: Although the bus station in Vinh City has just moved to a new location, there are still a lot of passengers. The company has mobilized the maximum number of vehicles to ensure quality service for passengers. There are about 300 vehicles registered for fixed routes, including both intra-provincial and inter-provincial routes, serving over 5,000 people/day. In addition, the bus station plans to mobilize 20 additional vehicles to serve passengers.
During the holidays, ticket prices increased slightly by 5-10%, with the highest number of passengers traveling on the Vinh - Hanoi and Vinh - Da Nang routes. Nghe An Bus Station Joint Stock Company has requested transport companies to fully list ticket prices and not charge more than the registered ticket prices.

However, some passenger cars take advantage of the holidays to increase ticket prices, such as the Yen Thanh - Hanoi route, which is normally 150,000 VND/ticket, but on May 1 increased to 250,000 VND/ticket, or the Quy Hop - Hanoi route, which is normally 170,000 VND/ticket, but now increased to 250,000 VND/ticket.
Many bus companies in Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Do Luong districts... mainly on the Nghe An - Hanoi route also increased prices by 30 - 40%.

The railway industry also implemented solutions to meet people's travel needs during the holidays. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thanh - Head of Vinh Railway Transport Station added: Train ticket prices for holidays do not increase. Currently, in addition to 6 fixed trains, the railway industry organizes 11 more trains mainly departing from Hanoi - Vinh; Vinh - Thanh Hoa; Vinh - Da Nang and vice versa on April 26-28 and April 30 - May 1.
Currently, Vinh Station sells about 7,000 tickets/day during the holidays. Passengers can book tickets at the stations or online, which is quite convenient.

People struggle to wait for trains and buses after Tet
