Nghe An: Suspected dog thief throws homemade bomb and shoots people, injuring them

On the morning of August 13, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc, Chairman of Ben Thuy Ward People's Committee, Vinh City, confirmed that a man had just been shot in the thigh by two dog thieves and had thrown homemade bombs at people.

Accordingly, at around 5:30 a.m. on August 12, while many people were playing volleyball at the clubhouse of block 10, Ben Thuy ward, two subjects on a motorbike passed by carrying dog catching tools and a sack suspected of containing dogs.

Discovering the incident, some people shouted, the two subjects immediately turned the car around and used guns to shoot at the people while throwing a homemade bomb containing hundreds of iron nails, but fortunately the bomb did not explode but instead shattered on the volleyball court. At this time, most of the people did not have time to react, a few people reflexively searched for items to defend themselves, the two subjects continued to turn the car around and fired 3 more shots before leaving the scene.

The incident caused panic among the people, including Nguyen Loc C. who was playing soccer and was shot in the right thigh.

Immediately afterwards, the people took Mr. C. to Vinh City General Hospital for emergency treatment and promptly reported to the police who were present to conduct an investigation, take witness statements, make a record, and confiscate the bullet from the victim to continue the investigation.

The X-ray results showed that the bullet had penetrated almost through the thigh. Doctors and nurses consulted and performed surgery to safely remove the bullet from Mr. C.'s body.

It is known that at the location of the incident, there was a residential security camera installed, and all images were extracted by authorities to search for the subject.

The above incident continues to ring the bell about the recklessness and stubbornness of bad guys as well as the safety of people being threatened when discovered without appropriate countermeasures.
