Nghe An maintains guard force to prevent forest fire from returning
The forest fire broke out on the evening of August 3rd in Hamlet 2, Tan Chau Commune (formerly Dien Phu Commune), and was extinguished by 1am on August 4th. However, to prevent the risk of the fire spreading again, local authorities and forest rangers continued to maintain vigilance and handle the remaining fire.

On the morning of August 4, at the scene of the forest fire in Hamlet 2, Tan Chau Commune, although the fire was under control, due to the high mountainous terrain and strong winds, the ashes still had the risk of breaking out into small flames. In that situation, the forest rangers continued to be on duty all night and this morning to extinguish all the remaining ashes, ensuring safety for the surrounding area.

Mr. Phan Van Hung - Chairman of Tan Chau Commune People's Committee said: "Currently, there are 20 people on duty at the scene, fully equipped with equipment such as fire blowers and fire extinguishers to thoroughly handle the ashes to prevent the forest fire from spreading."

This morning (August 4), Dien Chau Forest Protection Department coordinated with Tan Chau commune and police forces to investigate the cause of the fire and determine the area of damage.
