Nghe An: Nearly 1,700 exam papers require re-examination

(Baonghean.vn) - On August 3, the deadline for receiving applications for re-examination of the national high school exam ended. In Nghe An, a summary from the Department of Education and Training showed that nearly 1,700 exam papers were requested to be re-examined.

Of the nearly 1,700 exams requested for review, 1,184 were at the exam cluster organized by the Department of Education and Training. The rest were at the exam cluster hosted by Vinh University.

Statistics at local examination clusters show that among the exams requested by candidates for re-examination, the most is Math with 451 exams. Next are Literature with 332 exams, English with 157 exams, Biology with 95 exams, Geography with 96 exams, Chemistry with 40 exams, Physics with 5 exams, History with 7 exams, and French with 1 exam.

The leader of the Department of Examination and Education Quality Assessment - Department of Education and Training said: All exams that are requested to be re-evaluated will be sent to each examination cluster, then the re-evaluating committee will have the following tasks: checking for errors such as adding up wrong points, recording wrong exam scores; re-evaluating exams according to candidates' requests; submitting to the Chairman of the Examination Council to decide on exam scores after re-evaluating. It is expected that by the end of this week, the re-evaluating will be completed and candidates will know the re-evaluating results.

In the 2015 national high school exam, Nghe An province had 1,392 candidates who failed the national high school graduation exam, of which more than 600 candidates received zero points. Most candidates requested a review to get enough points for the graduation exam. In addition, there were some candidates who, although their scores for the subject combinations were over 20 points, still failed the graduation exam because they received zero points in one of the remaining subjects.
