Nghe An: Reduced sentences and early release for prisoners on the occasion of Tet Quy Ty 2013

(Baonghean.vn)On February 5, 2013, Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center held a ceremony to announce the decision to reduce prison sentences for 46 prisoners who had performed well during their sentences on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2013.

The Council for Review of Prison Sentence Reduction decided to reduce the prison sentences of 46 prisoners. Of these, 10 prisoners had their entire sentences reduced, and 36 prisoners had their sentences reduced by 3 to 8 months. These prisoners all had good rehabilitation processes, strictly followed discipline, rules and regulations during their sentence. This is a condition and opportunity for prisoners to quickly reintegrate into the community, live a useful life for their families and society, and is also a premise for other prisoners to strive to work hard to reform well to enjoy the lenient policies of the Party and State in the next amnesty periods.
