Nghe An: Instructions on priority, direct admission, admission based on Foreign Language Certificate to grade 6 and grade 10

Specifically, according to the Admission Regulations, there are 4 groups of students who are admitted directly.Grade 10High school, including:

+ Boarding school students have graduated from junior high school.

+ Students are from very small ethnic groups including: Cong, Mang, Pu Peo, Si La, Co Lao, Bo Y, La Ha, Ngai, Chut, O Du, Brau, Ro Mam, Lo Lo, Lu, Pa Then, La Hu.

+ Inclusive students with disabilities have completed junior high school.

+ Students won national and international prizes in culture, arts, physical education, sports, and science and technology competitions for middle and high school students.

According to regulations, if students are qualified, they will be admitted directly to high schools in the district, city or town where they studied junior high school.

About priority pointswillplus 3.0 pointsfor one of the following subjects: Children of martyrs; children of war invalids and sick soldiers with a loss of 81% or more of their working capacity; Children of people granted "Certificate of beneficiaries of policies like war invalids" with a loss of 81% or more of their working capacity; Children of resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals; Children of revolutionaries before January 1, 1945; Children of revolutionaries from January 1, 1945 to the August 1945 uprising.

+Add 2.5 pointsfor one of the following subjects: Children of Armed Forces Heroes; Children of Labor Heroes; Children of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; Children of war invalids and sick soldiers with less than 81% working capacity loss; Children of people granted "Certificate of beneficiaries of policies like war invalids" with less than 81% working capacity loss.

+Plus 2.0 pointsfor one of the following subjects: People whose father or mother is an ethnic minority; Ethnic minorities; Students living and studying in communes with especially difficult socio-economic conditions according to Decision No. 353/QD-TTg dated March 15, 2022 of the Prime Minister approving the list of poor districts and communes with special difficulties in coastal and island areas for the period 2021-2025; Students living and studying in extremely difficult villages according to Decision No. 433/QD-UBDT dated June 18, 2021 of the Ethnic Committee approving the list of extremely difficult villages in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021-2025; Decision No. 861/QD-TTg dated June 4, 2021 of the Prime Minister approving the list of communes in Region III, Region II, Region I in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021-2025.

Regarding primary school admission,Department of Education and Trainingalso announced the admission plan for grade 10 high school and grade 6 middle school based on the results of the International English Proficiency Certificate.

+ For candidates applying to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted (English 3 and English 4 specialized classes): required to haveEnglish CertificateIELTS Academic from 6.0 or higher or other international certificates equivalent to IELTS Academic English Certificate from 6.0 or higher.

+ Other high schools, depending on the quality of students in the admission area, decide the score of the English Proficiency Certificate for candidates applying for admission. However, at least candidates applying for admission must have an IELTS Academic English Certificate of 4.0 or higher or other international certificates equivalent to an IELTS Academic English Certificate of 4.0 or higher.

In case there are many candidates with the same score at the last quota, the following criteria will be considered in order of priority: Total score of 3 subjects: Math, Literature, English in the entrance exam for grade 10 of high school in the 2022-2023 school year; English score in the entrance exam for grade 10 of high school in the 2022-2023 school year; average score of English in grade 9; results of participation in English competitions organized by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Department of Education and Training in the 2022-2023 school year.

For 6th grade students, the Department requires the Department of Education and Training to advise the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to issue plans, regulations and instructions for key high-quality secondary schools and secondary schools recruiting students in the entire district, city and town to conduct the admission of students with international English proficiency certificates to study in 6th grade, school year 2022-2023. Units use the reference table to convert scores between a number of international English proficiency certificates attached to the Official Dispatch to implement during the admission process.

This is also the first year Nghe An conducts admissions to Huynh Thuc Khang High School grade 10 and junior high school grade 6 for classes implementing advanced school programs following the international integration trend. For these classes, the Department requires schools to develop admission plans based on approved quotas and submit them to the Department for approval.

After determining the admitted students, the Admissions Council will make a list of admitted students and submit it to the Department for approval.
