Nghe An: Mobilizing nearly 30 billion VND to support poor communes in the West

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of May 2, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to review the construction and replication of production development models to implement the national target program on new rural construction, support poor communes in western Nghe An and support cement for rural roads in the first phase. The conference was co-chaired by comrades Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Implementing the program to support poor communes in the West, in 2012, the units mobilized 28,957 million VND to build economic development models and transfer scientific and technical advances. In 2013, the organizations and units will continue to support and help, focusing on resources to support the construction of houses and infrastructure for the poor and poor communes in the West.

Concluding this content, comrade Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that socio-economic development in the West plays a very important role. Accordingly, units and organizations need to come up with plans to help poor communes that are close to the reality of each locality. Support programs need to be more feasible to achieve the highest efficiency. In addition to the contributions of cadres in organizations and units, it is necessary to call on more organizations, individuals, and sponsors to contribute to support and help the poor.

Regarding the content of road construction according to Decision 3263 of the Provincial People's Committee, according to the report of the Department of Planning and Investment, up to now, the whole province has built 486 km of concrete roads, including 300 km of grade A roads.

The conference also heard the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development report on the results of 2 years of implementing production development support models in new rural construction. The whole province has deployed 200 models, including 119 crop models. In general, the production development models have been deployed synchronously and achieved high economic efficiency, which is the basis for replication in the following years. In the period of 2013-2015, sectors and localities continued to focus on investing in building production development models, increasing income, improving the lives of rural people, creating jobs, contributing to economic restructuring.

Concluding the above two contents, Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that localities have achieved in implementing the two programs of the new rural construction program. In the coming time, sectors and localities need to mobilize resources well for this program. For the program to support cement for rural roads, the Provincial People's Committee will continue to implement phase 2 of this program. Assign relevant departments and sectors to work with localities on cement needs as well as work with cement factories to provide cement sources for localities to implement; sectors and localities need to coordinate with enterprises to create large volumes of agricultural products, and at the same time have solutions to consume products for farmers.

At the preliminary summary ceremony, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 6 groups and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in helping poor communes in Western Nghe An in 2012; the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 10 groups and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the policy of supporting cement for rural traffic./.
