Nghe An mobilizes more than 4,200 people to serve the National High School Exam
(Baonghean.vn)- To ensure the exam takes place safely and seriously, Nghe An mobilized 4,200 people to serve the exam, of which about 2,600 people worked as invigilators. The Ministry of Education and Training also sent more than 1,300 officials and lecturers from 7 universities and colleges to work as invigilators.
On the afternoon of May 11, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Nghia - Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for the National High School Exam and University Admissions 2017, together with members of the working delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training, had a working session with the Provincial Steering Committee on preparations for the 2017 National High School Exam. Attending and working with the delegation was comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The 2017 National High School Exam is the third year that the Ministry of Education and Training has implemented the “2 in 1” exam. However, unlike the previous two years, this year each province has an exam cluster chaired by the Department of Education and Training. Universities and colleges play a role in coordinating the organization. In Nghe An, with the characteristics of a large area and the 4th largest number of candidates in the country, the implementation has many difficulties.
On the other hand, for the first time, the Ministry of Education and Training organizes the combined exams of natural sciences, social sciences, and mathematics in the form of multiple-choice tests, so it will be difficult to direct and guide high schools to organize teaching and review to prepare for the National High School Exam.

During the implementation process, there are many complicated tasks related to exam technical procedures, disseminating exam regulations, handling situations during the exam, organizing printing and transferring exam papers...
It is expected that in the upcoming exam, Nghe An will mobilize 4,200 people to serve the exam, of which about 2,600 will be invigilators. The Ministry of Education and Training will also send more than 1,300 officials and lecturers from 7 universities and colleges to work as invigilators.
At the meeting, representatives of the steering committee members also gave many opinions on exam preparation, especially in mobilizing supervisors from universities and colleges because currently the number of staff and teachers in schools is not enough according to regulations..In addition, discuss training plans on exam regulations for the invigilator team, develop protection plans and find solutions to facilitate candidates and invigilators during the exam.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Nghia highly appreciated the preparations of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Examination and the coordinating units. However, due to the importance of the National High School Examination, she requested that the units not be subjective and that each department, branch and sector need to have its own directive documents for the vertical sector so that the preparations can be carried out carefully and smoothly.
During the implementation process, it is necessary to pay attention to candidates with difficult circumstances and mobilize social resources to support and help candidates.
Printing work needs to be focused on, cared for and trusted people must be selected to carry out. In addition, it is necessary to develop backup plans, especially in the work of preserving exam papers. He also suggested that universities and colleges need to be proactive in coordination, comply with regulations, and avoid the situation of "each person going their separate ways".
Regarding the number of invigilators, if there are not enough staff and lecturers, the Ministry allows schools to arrange additional candidates who are graduate students or final year students and must train themselves. During the exam invigilator process, it is necessary to thoroughly ensure that invigilators follow the regulations, not be lenient or negligent in performing their duties to ensure absolute safety and fairness for the exam.

In the coming time, the Ministry will provide full training materials to localities and soon release a set of reference exam questions to help candidates and schools facilitate the review process.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong said: Currently, in addition to the provincial exam steering committee, localities have also proactively established steering committees to enhance the responsibility of localities and related departments and branches. During the exam days, the province requires localities and units not to organize meetings to focus on ensuring the exam runs smoothly.

In addition, the Provincial Youth Union and mass organizations are assigned to pay attention to the exam preparation work, especially paying attention to candidates with difficult circumstances. On the side of Nghe An province, with many years of experience in coordinating the organization of the 3 common exams, Nghe An believes that it will do well in the National High School Exam. The province also determines not to be subjective, to implement carefully and thoroughly to each member and each sector so that the exam is organized seriously, in accordance with regulations and in accordance with the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training.
