Nghe An connects with Singaporean businesses to cooperate in producing animal feed using green technology.
Nghe An Province Department of Science and Technology has connected with Singaporean enterprises to deploy cooperation in producing animal feed using green technology.
On May 30 and 31, a delegation from Frass Pte Ltd from Singapore had a meeting with leaders of the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An province to learn about the reality and discuss plans for cooperation in research and investment in the production of animal feed from agricultural by-products using green technology.
Attending the meeting was comrade Nguyen Quy Linh - Director of Department of Science and Technology.

It is known that from March 2024, the Center for Application of Science and Technology Advances (Department of Science and Technology) connected with Frass Pte Ltd Company from Singapore to discuss cooperation in research and investment in the production of animal feed from agricultural by-products using green technology.

Frass Pte Ltd is currently implementing a multinational project on producing animal feed from a variety of agricultural by-products such as rice bran, seaweed, waste from breweries, tofu residue, sugarcane tops, by-products from seafood processing factories, etc.
Environmentally friendly food processing technology, using enzymes to ferment and mix ingredients according to the appropriate formula for each animal. Production technology does not use heat-generating equipment during processing such as drying ovens, boilers, etc.

Therefore, the animal feed product not only ensures nutritional value, lower cost than traditional feed but also contributes to reducing environmental pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. The project has attracted investment from international organizations such as: Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, UK Space Agency, European Union, Innovate UK.
Currently, Frass Pte Ltd has been operating in Indonesia and Cambodia. The company hopes that Vietnam will be the next possible partner to implement the project.

Nghe An is a province with a developed agricultural and aquatic sector, and by-products in the sector can be used to produce a variety of animal feed in large quantities. Utilizing waste and by-products from agriculture (crop, aquaculture, forestry); by-products from rice, corn, cassava, etc. will help the locality to be proactive in the source of animal feed and towards export.

To implement the project in Nghe An, representatives of Frass Pte Ltd discussed the plan directly with leaders of the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An province and conducted field surveys at a number of livestock breeding sites and raw material areas in the province to implement the cooperation plan between the two sides.
