(Baonghean.vn) - The Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Festival in Nghe An province officially opened in Tan Ky district, with the participation of nearly 200 athletes competing in 5 sports.
On the evening of April 18, in Tan Ky district, the Department of Culture and Sports coordinated with the District People's Committee to organize the opening ceremony of the Cultural Festival of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups in Nghe An province. Attending the event were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Ho Mau Thanh - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports; Luong Thanh Hai - Head of the Ethnic Committee; representatives of the Provincial People's Council and a number of provincial departments and branches. |
The Ethnic Culture Festival is an activity of profound political and social significance, demonstrating the Party and State's concern for ethnic policies and work, aiming at the goal of preserving and promoting national cultural identity; continuing to improve the quality of the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" and selecting and supplementing the province's athletes to participate in upcoming competitions.

The Cultural Festival of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups in Nghe An province is scheduled to take place from April 18 to 21 with sports competitions: Volleyball, stick pushing, crossbow shooting, shuttlecock throwing and tug of war, attracting nearly 200 athletes from the districts of Que Phong, Ky Son, Quy Chau, Quy Hop, Nghia Dan, Tuong Duong, Anh Son, Thanh Chuong, Con Cuong, Quynh Luu, Tan Ky and Thai Hoa town.
