Nghe An: Reproductive health examination and consultation for industrial park workers

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 14, the Department of Population and Family Planning organized medical examination, consultation and free medicine distribution for nearly 200 workers at Minh Anh - Kim Lien Garment Company (Bac Vinh Industrial Park, Vinh City).

This is the content of the plan to implement the Model "Providing reproductive health care services and contraceptives for workers in industrial parks in Nghe An province" in 2016 with activities such as communication, mobilization, consultation, thematic talks, free medicine distribution; providing reproductive health care services and contraceptives for workers.

This model started to be implemented in early 2014 and Nghe An is one of the first three localities in the country to be piloted.

In 2016, the program was implemented at 4 units: Minh Tri Joint Stock Company, Minh Anh Kim Lien Garment Joint Stock Company (Vinh City); Hoang Thi Loan Textile Joint Stock Company (Nam Dan) and Khai Hoan Export Embroidery Factory (Anh Son) with nearly 1,500 workers receiving free consultation, health check-up and treatment. All implementation costs were mobilized from the local budget.
