Through on-site inspection of schools in Nghi Loc, Do Luong, Yen Thanh, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan districts and quick reports of some educational institutions; as of November 2, 2020, the whole province has more than 70 schools directly affected by prolonged storms and floods, such as flooding, collapsed fences, and affected equipment and school supplies, specifically: 23 kindergartens, 30 primary schools, 17 secondary schools, of which, some schools are flooded with over 1 meter of water such as Hung Nhan and Hung Trung communes of Hung Nguyen district; Thanh Nho, Thanh Ha and Thanh Lam communes of Thanh Chuong district and Quang Son commune of Do Luong district. The initial estimated damage to the assets of educational institutions is about 15 billion VND. Currently, there are 134 schools and school sites in Thanh Chuong, Hung Nguyen, Do Luong, Anh Son and Yen Thanh districts that have not yet reopened, because the water has not yet receded or they are cleaning up the effects of floods.
