Nghe An conducts capacity survey for about 1,700 English teachers
(Baonghean.vn) - This is the first time Nghe An Education Department has conducted a survey of English teachers on a province-wide scale with the subjects being teachers at secondary, high school and vocational education levels.
From November 10 to 14,Department of Education and Trainingwill organize a survey of English teacher capacity in general education and continuing education institutions in Nghe An province. Particularly, teachers who have international certificates converted to meet the standards according to the regulations of the level of education (time is calculated within 5 years, from the time stated on the certificate); teachers with less than 24 months until retirement age, calculated from October 31, 2021.

Before conducting the survey, the Department of Education and Training also requested schools and Departments of Education and Training to review the current situation of teachers.Englishin general education and continuing education institutions in the province. It is expected that this time, about 1,700 English teachers at secondary and high school levels and teachers at continuing education level without certificates will participate in the survey, accounting for the majority of teachers at all levels.
The purpose of the survey of English teacher capacity in general education and continuing education institutions is to provide a basis for developing a training plan to meet teaching requirements according to regulations and the innovation of the 2018 General Education Program (GDPT 2018).
In addition, it serves as a basis for selecting qualified and competent English teachers as the backbone of the Education sector.
According to the plan, the English teacher competency survey was held in Vinh city with 3 locations: the Provincial Continuing Education - Career Guidance Center; Huynh Thuc Khang High School; AMA English Center) with all 4 skills: listening, reading, speaking, writing.
Previously, the survey was scheduled to be held in August but had to be postponed due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.
In this round, teachers in the F1 category; people in quarantine areas due to the Covid-19 epidemic who cannot participate in the survey in this round will move to the next round of the survey.
