Nghe An organizes competition for skilled hotel room technicians for the first time
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 19, 35 contestants who are housekeeping staff working at tourist accommodation establishments in the province participated in the 2017 Nghe An Province Hotel Room Service Competition.

During the 2 days, the contestants will go through 3 contest contents including: introducing themselves and the company where they are working, drawing lots, answering theoretical questions and practicing making a bed in 10 minutes. The 15 contestants with the highest scores from the preliminary round will officially enter the final round.
In addition to the professional skills that need to be demonstrated, candidates who have English communication skills will have an advantage when taking the exam.

This is the first year the Nghe An Province Hotel Room Service Competition has been held to create an environment for contestants and accommodation establishments to learn from each other, gradually improve their professional skills, and serve tourists better and better.
At the end of the competition, the organizing committee will award 1 first prize for the whole team, 1 second prize for the whole team and individual prizes to the best contestants.
As of May 31, 2017, the province had 827 tourist accommodation establishments with 19,709 rooms, including 18 3-5 star hotels and more than 80 1-2 star hotels, capable of serving 5-6 million visitors/year. The human resources of Nghe An tourism industry are also constantly developing in both quantity and quality, in which the number of young workers trained and fostered in tourism profession is increasing, accounting for over 50%. |
