Nghe An: Excavator overturned, a young man died on the spot

(Baonghean.vn) - While operating an excavator on a hillside, the machine overturned. Although he tried to get out, Mr. Hai was crushed to death by the machine on the spot.

Mr. Hoang Dinh Tam, Chief of Police of Nghia Dung Commune, Tan Ky District (Nghe An), said that a tragic accident involving an excavator occurred in the area. The consequence was that Mr. Chu Van Hai (born in 1993), residing in Hamlet 15, Nghia Hung Commune, Nghia Dan District (Nghe An), died.

According to Mr. Tam, on the morning of March 15, Mr. Dam Cong Khoa's family, Thuan Yen hamlet, Nghia Dung commune (Tan Ky district) rented an excavator driven by Mr. Chu Van Hai to dig up soil on the hillside.

At around 7:40 a.m., while Mr. Hai was operating the machine alone, the excavator tipped over. Mr. Hai, who was sitting inside, tried to jump out to escape but was crushed by the machine and died on the spot.

Nghia Dung Commune Police were present to protect the scene and report to Tan Ky District Police and relevant units.

It is known that Hai is not married and his family is very poor. Hai works as a hired driver. The excavator he drives was bought a few months ago by a resident of Nghia Dung commune.
