(Baonghean.vn) - According to records, the number of people coming to transaction points of network operators in Nghe An to standardize subscriber information increased dramatically on March 31. If the owner is not verified, the subscriber will be locked one way from today.

From March 31, 2023, the Telecommunications Department requires network operators to resolutely stop the activities of subscribers with incorrect information. Users who do not update and standardize phone subscriber information to match the National Population Database will be locked in one direction. After that, if they continue to not standardize personal information, they will be locked in two directions. After 2 months, the contract will be terminated if the subscriber does not register to standardize personal information according to regulations.

According to the reporter's records, on March 31, many Nghe An residents gathered at the transaction points of network operators to standardize information.

Mr. Nguyen Tat Nguyen (born in 1964), residing in Vinh City, said: "In the past few days, I have continuously received calls and messages from the network operator asking me to update my information because the information on my subscription does not match the National Population Database. I am old and not familiar with using applications on my phone, so I went to the transaction point for the staff to guide me...".

Ms. Ho Thi Ha - Director of VNPT Business Center - Nghe An said: In recent days, the number of customers coming to transaction points to standardize owner information has increased 5 - 7 times compared to normal days. We have directed all points to mobilize maximum human resources, increase working hours to serve people. Up to now, 90% of subscribers have been contacted by VNPT and updated to verify information. The remaining number who have not been contacted will continue to be contacted in the near future.

According to Ms. Ha, there are currently 3 ways for people to quickly standardize information. First, customers can download the network operator's application and follow the instructions; second, people can go to the center or the nearest transaction point to get support from the staff; in case customers cannot go to the transaction point or are not familiar with the application, the network operator will contact and send staff to the customer's home to complete the information.

In case the customer has been locked one way since today (March 31), it is necessary to quickly verify the owner's information. Once the required steps have been completed, the system will automatically unlock the subscription for the customer to use normally.

Not only VinaPhone, other networks such as Viettel, MobiPhone... in Nghe An are also increasing their staff to serve customers. On the afternoon of March 31, at the transaction area of ​​Viettel building on Le Nin Avenue, Vinh City, the number of customers increased dramatically. Most of them were people coming to verify their subscriber information because they were afraid of being locked one way from today. Previously, subscribers whose information had not been verified were called and texted by the network operators' switchboards to complete the information procedures as soon as possible.

Reviewing and standardizing subscriber information of mobile telecommunications service users to ensure that it matches the information in the National Population Database is a necessary activity, with the participation and coordination of state management agencies, businesses and people to contribute to stabilizing social order, promptly preventing and handling acts of using SIM cards with registration information that is not in accordance with regulations to carry out fraudulent acts, false advertising, lack of culture, and contrary to good customs.
