Accordingly, in 2016, the whole province had 54,618 children born. Of these, 8,821 were third or more children. The number of party members who violated the law was 213. The number of cases that were handled was 3,382.

Thus, compared to 2015, the third child birth rate in the area decreased by more than 300 cases, but the third child birth rate in the province is still high (over 16%). Dien Chau is the locality with the highest third child birth rate. Next are Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Do Luong, Thanh Chuong districts. Regarding party members who violate the law, Dien Chau, Vinh City, and Quynh Luu have the highest number.
Previously, Resolution No. 170/2015/NQ-HDND dated July 10, 2015 of the Provincial People's Council and Decision No. 43/QD-UBND dated August 21, 2015 of the Provincial People's Committee "Regulating a number of population and family planning policies in Nghe An province" stipulated strict handling of groups and individuals violating population and family planning policies according to current laws and commitments signed with agencies, organizations or local authorities of the place of residence. Directive No. 09 - CT/TU dated September 19, 2012 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee also stipulates the handling of collectives and cadres and party members who violate the Population - Family Planning policy, such as: Party members holding leadership positions who violate the policy must review before the immediate superior Party Committee and submit a request to withdraw their names from the leadership position or consider transferring to another job position, and not be considered for planning or appointment to a leadership position within 5 years of transferring the job position. |
