Nghe An: Many new technology shrimp farming models receive funding support from the province.

(Baonghean.vn) - Many shrimp farming households applying new technology in Nghe An have been supported under Resolution No. 18/2021/NQ-HDND of the province. Currently, 16 shrimp farming facilities applying new technology have submitted applications for consideration of support according to regulations.

According to information from the Department of Fisheries, Resolution 18/2021/NQ-HDND of the province has really brought benefits to shrimp farmers. Since the beginning of 2023, 16 shrimp farming households in the province have submitted documents on the model.high-tech shrimp farmingto enjoy support policies under this resolution.

Mr. Le Van Huong - Deputy Head of the Department of Fisheries said: Although Resolution No. 18/NQ-HDND of the province does not limit the number ofmodelare supported during the year, but to enjoy the support policy, they must meet the conditions according to the regulations on land, area and some other conditions. Therefore, the Department of Fisheries will conduct on-site inspections of the models according to the submitted documents, the models that meet the regulations will complete the application for support from the province.

It is known that in 2022, the Department of Fisheries coordinated with local authorities to select, guide and support 8 intensive white-leg shrimp farming models applying new technology that are eligible to enjoy benefits according to regulations. The maximum support level is 230 million VND/model.

Thanks to that support policy, the area of shrimp farming applying new technology in Nghe An is increasing. Currently, in the province, there are 70 establishments applying the multi-stage shrimp farming model with an area of 121 hectares, increasing productivity and product quality. To facilitate the management and supervision of the production process, many large-scale aquaculture production and farming establishments have installed cameras and updated data on computer systems...

Mr. Le Van Huong - Deputy Director of the Department of Fisheries said: Investing in shrimp farming using high technology, not depending on the weather, so each year can raise 5 - 6 batches, productivity reaching 15 - 20 tons/ha. Therefore, applying high technology to shrimp farming is inevitable, to cope with climate change, environmental pollution, reduce input costs and improve the quality of shrimp products.

Support policy according to Resolution 18/2021/NQ-HDND of the province: Support models have an area of 01 hectare or more; located in the shrimp farming planning area; have infrastructure and equipment that meet the new farming technology process recognized by competent authorities; biological products are allowed to be used in aquaculture in Vietnam. Support level: 30% of the cost of purchasing equipment and biological products for intensive white-leg shrimp farming models applying new technology, but not exceeding 200,000,000 VND/model; Support for hiring experts for training and transferring technical technology: 30,000,000 VND/model.
