Nghe An: Cases of direct admission and extra points in the 10th grade entrance exam

According to the admission guidelines of the Department of Education and Training, in 2019 - 2020, high schools in districts, cities and towns where students study junior high school will directly admit students who meet the following conditions:

Students of the Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School, students from very small ethnic groups including: O Du, Pu Peo, Si La, Ro Mam, Cong, Brau, Bo Y, Mang, Co Lao; Integrated students with disabilities who have completed the secondary school program; Students who have won national and international prizes in culture, arts, physical education and sports; National science and technology competitions for middle school and high school students.

Regarding the 10th grade entrance exam, the Department of Education and Training also stipulates that the admission score for 10th grade (for schools with entrance exams) is equal to the total score of 3 exams calculated according to the coefficient and bonus points for those who enjoy preferential and incentive policies (if any).

The Admissions Council of high schools will base the admission scores from high to low until the quota is filled. In case many candidates have the same score, the average score of all subjects in grade 9 will be used to rank from high to low; if there are still cases of equal scores, the difference will be determined by the average score of Math and Literature in grade 9.

For schools that register for admission in the second and third choices, 10 to 15% of the quota will be reserved. The admission score of the next choice must be at least 2.0 points higher than the admission score of the previous choice.

For schools that recruit students by examination,Only consider admission for students who are eligible and have complete documents according to the regulations of the Admission Regulations. The admission score is equal to the total score of training and learning results of 4 years of secondary school plus priority and encouragement points.

For non-public schools: Simultaneous admission consideration for 2 subjects: students who participated in the 10th grade entrance exam in the 2019-2020 school year and did not take the exam.

With the priority bonus points rule:

+ Students will beAdd 3.0 points for one of the following subjects: Children of martyrs; children of war invalids and sick soldiers with a working capacity loss of 81% or more; children of people granted "Certificate of beneficiaries of policies like war invalids" with a working capacity loss of 81% or more.

+ Add 2.5 points for one of the following subjects: Children of Armed Forces Heroes, children of Labor Heroes, children of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; children of war invalids and sick soldiers with less than 81% working capacity loss; children of people granted "Certificate of beneficiaries of policies like war invalids" with less than 81% working capacity loss.

+ Add 2.0 points for one of the following subjects: People whose father or mother is an ethnic minority; ethnic minority people; students living and studying in a particularly difficult commune.
