Checking the truck with license plate 37C-17916 driven by Nguyen Dinh Tam, born in 1985, residing in hamlet 16, Quynh Lam commune, Quynh Luu commune, the working group discovered a shipment of goods on the truck, including 11 snake carcasses, with Chinese characters printed on the bags, weighing 275kg, 1 plastic sealing machine and 200 Miwon brand MSG bags.

Driver Tam could not present invoices or documents proving the origin of the goods and declared that all of the goods were for hire for Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh, born in 1964, residing in Hamlet 4, Quynh Hong Commune, Quynh Luu District. Working with Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh, the subject confessed to buying MSG in bags, 25kg/bag, produced in China and MSG packages of famous brands such as Miwon and Ajino moto...

After purchasing, the subject gathers the goods in a private warehouse or at home, then divides them into packages of 1kg, 450kg... to sell on the market.

At Thanh's house, authorities seized evidence, including 571 plastic bags of various sizes, printed with the Ajino moto and Miwon brands, 1 package of MSG bearing the Miwon brand that the subject himself had decanted from a Chinese MSG bag; and 1 MSG bag label pressing machine.

Through the investigation, Ms. Thanh initially admitted to packaging fake MSG to import for a subject in Dien Lam commune to sell to Laos. Currently, the authorities are continuing to expand the investigation to clarify the case./.
