The bomb was discovered by people

Previously, during the process of digging and leveling the land, on the land of Mr. La Van Duong's family in Chau Dinh village, Chau Khe commune (Con Cuong district), people discovered a bomb with the symbol MK 117, weighing 550 pounds, equivalent to 340kg, lying 2m deep under the ground. This is a bomb left over from the war dropped by the US.

Engineers move the bomb

Immediately after receiving the news, the engineering force of Nghe An Provincial Military Command coordinated with the Con Cuong District Military Command to mobilize 50 officers and soldiers to promptly move the bomb out of the residential area and destroy it.

Immediately afterwards, the bomb was safely destroyed in Diem village, Chau Khe commune (Con Cuong).
