Nghe An: Striving for 100% of communes, wards and towns to have cultural, information and sports facilities

(Baonghean.vn) – On the afternoon of January 7, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to and give opinions on the draft plan to implement Resolution No. 33/NQ-TW on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people, meeting the requirements of sustainable national development.

Overview of the meeting.

The meeting is of important significance, aiming to find practical solutions, suitable to the situation and actual conditions of the locality, departments, branches and organizations in deploying and implementing, creating a comprehensive and synchronous strength, contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution No. 33/NQ-TW on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people, meeting the requirements of sustainable development of the country.

At the meeting, representatives of departments, branches and sectors contributed many opinions, based on the practical situation of each sector and field.

Comrade Nguyen Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department recommended that in order for the action plan to implement Resolution No. 33/NQ-TW to be close to reality, it is necessary to stick firmly to specific goals and tasks.

In particular, focusing on the following contents: discussing solutions to organize the implementation of Resolution No. 33 on building and developing Nghe An culture and people; key issues in building and developing Nghe An culture and people today and discussing the concretization of Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW to bring the Resolution into life, creating a new step in building and developing Nghe An culture and people in the coming time.

Comrade Nguyen Hai Duong - Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs proposed that in the solution to build Nghe An people to develop comprehensively, separate criteria should be built for each group of subjects to be more suitable in practice.

Delegates attending the meeting also discussed specific goals such as: by 2020, the number of cultural households will reach 83-85%; strive for 100% of communes, wards and towns to have cultural, information and sports facilities; ensure 100% of households have television viewing equipment; establish 5-10 intangible cultural heritage profiles to propose the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to include them in the list of national intangible cultural heritages...

Concluding the meeting, comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to fully record the comments of relevant departments, branches and sectors to synthesize and advise the Provincial People's Committee.

Along with that, building Nghe An people to develop comprehensively, towards truth - goodness - beauty, inheriting and promoting the tradition of the revolutionary homeland; closely linking the construction and development of culture with the construction of the political - social system, ensuring national defense - security. Strive to make Nghe An become a center of finance, trade, tourism, education - training, science - technology, health, culture, sports, high-tech industry of the North Central region by 2020.
