Nghe An: Striving to achieve total tourism revenue of 10,000 billion VND by 2020

According to this action program, Nghe An strives to become one of the tourist centers of the North Central region and an attractive destination of the whole country by 2030 with unique tourism products bearing the cultural imprint of Nghe An, with a safe, civilized, friendly and quality tourism environment.

Forming products with Nghe An tourism brand: Kim Lien National Tourist Area (Nam Dan), Cua Lo coastal tourist urban area, Vinh city service center, Pu Mat National Park eco-tourism; tourism products associated with intangible cultural heritage of Nghe Tinh Vi, Giam folk songs, national heroes, cultural celebrities; completing attracting from 3-5 high-quality, large-scale resort and ecological tourism investment projects.

Connect Nghe An to the value chain of tourism products in the North Central region, the inter-regional North-South Central region, the tourist centers of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, the Northwest, the Central Highlands and provinces and cities in the country as well as internationally by rail, road, and air to attract visitors, especially the Vientiane - Hanoi expressway through Thanh Thuy border gate...

By 2020, Nghe An strives to attract5-5,5 million tourists, including 170 thousand international visitors; total revenue from tourism reached 10,000 billion VND, contributed by5-6% of the province's GRDP; creating jobs for over 30,000 direct workers. By 2030, Nghe An tourism will basically become a key economic sector, contributing to the province's GRDP from9-10%.
