Nghe An strives to become a tourist center of the North Central region

(Baonghean.vn) -Nghe An strives to become a tourism center of the North Central region by 2030. That is the goal of Nghe An tourism, which was raised at the meeting of the Provincial People's Committee held on the afternoon of October 18 to listen to and give opinions on the Draft Action Program of the Standing Committee to implementResolution 08-NQ/TW of the Politburoperiod 2017 - 2030.

Building diverse tourism products

On February 16, 2017, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 08-NQ/TW on developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector... This Resolution has further strengthened the determination to develop tourism that Nghe An province has chosen and implemented for a long time.

To promote tourism development closely following the direction of the Politburo, Nghe An has had a policy to build an Action Program of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and a Plan of the Provincial People's Committee to implement the Action Program of the Government and the Provincial Party Standing Committee.

According to the draft Action Program: Nghe An strives to become one of the tourist centers of the North Central region and an attractive destination of the whole country by 2030 with unique tourism products bearing the cultural imprint of Nghe An, with a safe, civilized, friendly and quality tourism environment.

Building Kim Lien tourist area into a national tourist area, Cua Lo town worthy of being a green, clean, beautiful coastal tourist city; preserving and promoting the values ​​of intangible cultural heritage of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs to become unique tourism products; attracting large-scale and high-quality investment projects in resort and ecological tourism.

Specifically, Nghe An is strongly developing tourism with professionalism and diversity, focusing on sea and island tourism, cultural and historical tourism associated with spirituality, eco-tourism; advantageous types of tourism such as community-based tourism, heritage tourism, agriculture - rural areas; focusing on developing and forming integrated tours; connecting Nghe An to the chain of inter-provincial, inter-regional, inter-national and international tourism products to attract tourists.

Actively support businesses

At the meeting to listen to and give opinions on the draft Action Program of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Implementation Plan of the Provincial People's Committee, delegates contributed many ideas on solutions to effectively implement the set goals.

The solutions mentioned include: Raising awareness and renewing thinking about tourism development; supplementing and adjusting tourism development planning towards professionalism, modernity, sustainability, meeting market rules and international integration; building and perfecting mechanisms and policies to promote tourism development; investing in developing infrastructure and technical facilities for the tourism industry; strengthening tourism promotion; creating a favorable environment for businesses and the community to develop tourism; taking care of building tourism human resources; enhancing the capacity and effectiveness of state management of tourism and tourism development associated with ensuring national defense and security.

Commenting on the two drafts, delegates focused on solutions to build and perfect mechanisms and policies to promote tourism development. Mr. Le Cong Nam - Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Nam Dan district suggested: To quickly and strongly promote tourism, the Provincial People's Committee should soon develop policies to support businesses and submit them to the Provincial People's Council; and soon identify key tourist destinations to focus on investment.

Mr. Ho Viet Dung - Head of the Department of Industrial and Service Planning, Department of Planning & Investment suggested: Investment to support the development of special tourism products and souvenir products should be calculated and discussed specifically with the participation of business associations and tourism associations. In addition to supporting the development of new quality products, it is necessary to consider trademark protection.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Anh - Head of Financial Planning Department, Department of Culture and Sports said: Turning Vi and Giam folk songs into attractive tourism products to serve tourists is the right policy; the province needs to come up with a separate project to build this special product.

Colonel Nguyen Cong Luc - Deputy Commander of Nghe An Border Guard noted: The simplification of administrative procedures related to tourists entering and exiting at Vinh airport and Nam Can border gate needs to be carried out well and carefully to ensure national defense and security and should have a common consensus for the border gate, border and seaport.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Minh Thong highly appreciated the process of developing the Draft of Nghe An Department of Tourism as well as the comments of participating departments, branches, sectors and delegates; requested the Department of Tourism to absorb the comments to complete the draft to submit to the Provincial People's Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for approval...

Comrade Le Minh Thong stated: In 2017, Nghe An tourism achieved many successes, exceeding the targets in terms of number of visitors and revenue. However, to develop sustainably, as well as to become the North Central Tourism Center, there needs to be more efforts from all levels, sectors, and active participation of businesses. Nghe An will focus on providing maximum support to tourism businesses in the coming time./.
