Nghe An: Promoting the internal strength of enterprises

Thanks to that, the business community of Nghe An province, especially small and medium enterprises, has overcome difficulties, stabilized and developed. From there, it has created more jobs and contributed significantly to the socio-economic development of the country.

With political determination, strong efforts to improve the investment and business environment and administrative reform (AR), Nghe An province has issued Resolution No. 05/2021/NQ-HDND dated August 13, 2021 of the Provincial People's Council on promulgating regulations on a number of investment support policies in the province, period 2021 - 2025; Decision No. 235/QD-UBND dated January 24, 2022 of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the Project "Reforming the investment and business environment, improving the efficiency of investment attraction in Nghe An province, period 2021 - 2025".

Thanks to that, Nghe An's economy has grown steadily, and the scale of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) has achieved increasingly high results. The economic growth rate is quite good, higher than the national average; in 2021, the province's GRDP growth rate reached 6.2%, among the top 3 localities in the North Central region and ranked 22nd in the country.

In addition to the feasible solutions and commitment of the government in supporting the business community of the province to overcome difficulties for sustainable development, the adaptation and promotion of the internal strength of the province's businesses are always important factors. Many businesses acknowledge that Nghe An is always one of the localities that strongly improves the investment and business environment, makes efforts to reform administration, as well as enhances the application of information technology in operations and management. Thanks to that, during and after the pandemic, many new business models have emerged, which is a rare opportunity to change technology, management methods and business operations.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nam - Director of Office360 Joint Stock Company specializing in accounting, auditing and tax consulting said that the Covid-19 pandemic has caused many businesses to face difficulties, even stop production and go bankrupt. However, his business and many other businesses in the same industry have promoted their internal strength, turned "danger" into "opportunity", successfully restructured the business and grew very well in 2022.

The pandemic has maximized the application of information technology in business, eliminating businesses that only wait for opportunities and take advantage of policies. In addition, the concepts of digitalization and digital transformation have been concretized in business activities of enterprises. Without creativity and adaptation, businesses will certainly fail.

The pandemic has severely affected many industries, of which tourism is one of the province's key industries. Entering 2022, Nghe An province's tourism industry has made efforts to quickly adapt to the "new normal" state. Certainly, in the following years, many businesses will fully recover and develop sustainably. Tourism will become an economic sector with many strengths and be prioritized for investment, aiming towards the "tourism center of the North Central region" in the province's socio-economic development strategy.

Ms. Le Thi Hong Nhung - Director of a business specializing in tourism, especially tours in Nghe An province, is optimistic about the recovery in this field. Ms. Nhung said that 2022 is a year that marks a breakthrough in the tourism industry nationwide, including Nghe An. The province has many advantages with many attractive tourist destinations such as: Western Nghe An, Cua Lo beach, Muong Thanh - Dien Lam ecological area; many caves and waterfalls that attract tourists such as Bua cave, Tham Chang (Quy Chau), Khe Kem waterfall (Con Cuong), Sao Va waterfall, Bay Tang waterfall (Que Phong), Sang Le forest (Tuong Duong), tea island (Thanh Chuong) ...

In her opinion, many businesses in the same industry have recovered and developed well. While international tours are still almost frozen due to the pandemic and some other reasons, domestic and provincial tours are opportunities for businesses that know how to adapt, innovate and maximize their potential. Knowing how to turn “danger” into “opportunity”, businesses will find new development opportunities, and that is the internal strength of the business.

From a different perspective, Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Anh - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and Director of Tu Tam Food Joint Stock Company, a business specializing in raising cows and producing products from cows and calves, affirmed that successful business depends largely on the management of the business owner. While the Government and local policies to support businesses are still slow and even unfeasible, the efforts, determination and knowledge of the business play a decisive role. For businesses that spend a lot of money to raise cows and calves and invest in many of the world's most advanced machines and technologies to produce cow products, the expectation is still on themselves. Strict, scientific and decisive management; the application of science and technology to production and business must always be calculated and compared very carefully because just a little mistake can "fly away" billions of dollars in a flash.

Necessity is the mother of invention, along with the efforts of the Party Committee and the provincial government, the small and medium-sized enterprise community of Nghe An with its acumen and internal strength is always innovative, creative, confident to develop and integrate into the international economy. To conclude this article, I would like to quote an opinion and also considered as a "commitment" from the government of Mr. Le Tien Tri - Head of the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone, Nghe An province at the Scientific Workshop on promoting rapid and sustainable economic development: With the achievements, along with the attention of the Government and the central ministries and branches, Nghe An province continues to stand side by side, accompany and create the most favorable conditions in terms of policies, investment and business environment for enterprises and investors. In the coming time, Nghe An will develop rapidly and sustainably, becoming a fairly good province as President Ho Chi Minh once expected.
