Nghe An: Successful surgery on 7.5 kg uterine fibroid

This is a common gynecological disease in women of reproductive age, especially those who have been pregnant and given birth at least once. The disease is not dangerous when the tumor is small, but when the tumor grows, the patient's life can be threatened. The disease affects the patient's life and activities due to the excruciating pain.

The tumor causes menstrual disorders leading to ovarian dysfunction and the ability to ovulate. In addition, it can cause miscarriage, premature birth or fetal malformation due to tumor compression. Disorders of physiological problems such as the anus and rectum cause the patient to have painful urination, frequent urination or constipation.

Treatment of this disease depends on the level of tumor development. If the tumor is small, the treatment can be medical treatment or conservative intervention such as embolization, radiofrequency ablation.
