The Prime Minister officially chose Nghe An Oncology Hospital as the direct connection point in the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of 250 projects nationwide.
On August 19, the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of 250 projects and works with a total investment of 1.28 million billion VND will take place to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. The program will start at 8:00 a.m. and will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television.
The Nghe An Oncology Hospital project in Vinh Hung ward, Nghe An is one of 80 points selected by the Prime Minister for live broadcast, one of 34 points with the participation of leaders of the Party, State, Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies and one of 9 points with representatives of leaders of the Government, ministries, branches, localities, businesses, and people speaking.
According to the program schedule, at the Nghe An Oncology Hospital, the leader of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee will speak and broadcast live.
This is a project with a total investment of 1,259 billion VND, with a scale of 1,000 hospital beds, classified as a group A project, a level 1 project, a key project in the North Central region and one of the key projects of Nghe An province.
In addition to the inauguration of the Nghe An Oncology Hospital Project, 8 other projects will have speeches from leaders of the Government, ministries, branches, localities, businesses, and people, of which 4 projects will be inaugurated including: National Exhibition Fair Center (Central Bridge Point) in the cultural sector, in Hanoi; Hai Anh Wind Power Plant in the industrial sector in Quang Tri; Saigon Marina International Finance Center (HD Bank) in the financial and banking sector in Ho Chi Minh City; Rach Mieu 2 Bridge in the transportation sector in Dong Thap province.
4 projects and works started include: Ngoc Hoi Bridge and approach roads construction project in Hanoi; Gia Binh International Airport in the transport sector in Bac Ninh province; Resettlement area in Dong Van ward, serving the North-South high-speed railway project in the technical infrastructure sector in Ninh Binh province; 3 projects and works (Ca Mau - Cai Nuoc Expressway Project; Dat Mui - Hon Khoai Port Road Project; Hon Khoai Dual-use Port Project) invested by the Ministry of National Defense in the transport sector in Ca Mau province.
The program is expected to end at 11am after the Prime Minister's speech and the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate and start construction of all projects.
The event is considered a particularly important political milestone, marking a milestone in the glorious history of building and defending the country of the nation, at the same time, creating momentum for socio-economic development, strengthening regional connectivity, contributing to achieving growth of 8% or more in 2025 and towards double-digit growth in the following years; creating jobs, livelihoods for people and improving people's lives.
According to the Government Office, as of August 13, 2025, there are 250 projects and works in 34 provinces and cities eligible to start construction and inaugurate with a total investment of about 1.28 million billion VND, of which 89 projects and works have been inaugurated; 161 projects and works have started construction.
Among the projects, 129 projects are funded by the State with 478,000 billion VND, accounting for 37% of the total amount and 121 projects and works are funded by other sources with 802,000 billion VND, accounting for 63% of the total amount. FDI capital has 5 projects with a total investment of about 54,000 billion VND.
