In recent days, due to the influence of strong cold air, Nghe An has experienced severe cold, affecting people's health, livestock and agricultural production.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, this is the strongest cold spell of the winter of 2023-2024. During this cold spell, in Nghe An, the temperature will be from 90C to 110C, high mountain areas are lower in some places. In addition, the sea areas in the East Sea have strong northeast winds of level 6-7, in some places level 8, gusting to level 9; rough seas. The rough sea conditions will last for many days.

Direct local departments, offices, and professional units to closely monitor and update weather developments and notify and guide people to proactively implement measures to prevent and combat the cold, ensure safety for people, and limit damage to agricultural production.

Department of Agriculture and Rural DevelopmentFocus on directing and closely monitoring weather developments, guiding localities to implement cold and disease prevention and control for livestock, poultry, aquatic products and crops; develop and guide winter-spring crop production plans, and crop structures suitable to weather conditions.
