(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of December 16th, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, Nguyen Duc Trung, signed dispatch No. 45/CĐ-UBND regarding the urgent response to the super typhoon approaching the East Sea.

The official dispatch stated: This afternoon (December 16, 2021), the super typhoon, internationally named RAI, directly affected the eastern coast of the Philippines; the strongest winds near the center of the typhoon reached level 16, with gusts exceeding level 17.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the evening of December 17, 2021, the storm will enter the East Sea with maximum wind speeds near the center reaching levels 13-14, gusting to level 17, causing waves 6-8 meters high in the northern, central, and southern East Sea areas; on December 19 and 20, the sea area off the coast of the central provinces may experience strong winds of levels 11-12, gusting to levels 14-15; directly threatening the safety of ships and activities at sea and along the coast.
