On the afternoon of January 30, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training issued an urgent dispatch, directing the Head of the Department of Education and Training and Heads of units under the Department to proactively deploy a number of tasks to prevent the infiltration and spread of the epidemic, and proactively respond most effectively in schools.

In particular, it is necessary to strictly implement the contents of Official Dispatch No. 121/CD-CP dated January 23, 2020 of the Government on the prevention and control of acute respiratory infections caused by the new strain of Corona virus; Official Dispatch No. 1696/TTg-KGVX dated December 17, 2019 of the Prime Minister on the prevention and control of winter-spring epidemics in 2019 - 2020.
In addition, it is necessary to closely coordinate with local health agencies to proactively develop specific action programs to ensure health and effectively implement disease prevention and control measures.
Monitor and manage the health of children, students, staff, teachers, and school employees well, detect disease cases early; when unusual phenomena or epidemics occur, immediately notify health authorities for timely examination and treatment, and resolutely prevent the epidemic from spreading in schools.
To prevent the disease, schools also need to step up propaganda and education for students, officials, teachers, and school staff about the causes, consequences, and measures to prevent and control acute respiratory infections caused by the new strain of Corona virus and winter-spring epidemics. Educating students to do well in their duties is a bridge to propagate disease prevention and control to their families and the community.

At the same time, instruct children, students, staff, teachers and school employees to limit direct contact with people with acute respiratory infections; when necessary to contact with sick people, wear medical masks properly and keep distance when in contact; keep the body warm, maintain personal hygiene, wash hands regularly with soap, gargle with mouthwash to prevent pneumonia; cover mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, preferably with a cloth or handkerchief to reduce the spread of respiratory secretions.
At the same time, it is necessary to strongly implement disease prevention and hygiene activities in schools and educational institutions; proactively coordinate with the health sector to organize propaganda, education, and raise awareness of disease prevention and control measures; ensure food safety in collective kitchens, provide enough drinking water and clean water for children, students, cadres, teachers, and school staff, regularly clean the environment and disinfect classrooms.
