Nghe An issues dispatch to respond to storm near East Sea
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 6, the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Nghe An province issued Official Dispatch No. 186 on responding to storms near the East Sea.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting: At 1:00 p.m. on November 6, the center of storm Atsani was located at approximately 21.3 degrees North latitude; 120.8 degrees East longitude, right on the sea south of Taiwan. The strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 10, gusting to level 12.

In the next 24 hours, the storm is forecast to move west-northwest at 10-15 km per hour, entering the East Sea. At 1:00 p.m. on November 7, the center of the storm was at about 22.1 degrees north latitude; 118.2 degrees east longitude, about 230 km southwest of Taiwan. The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 8-9, gusting to level 11. In the next 24 to 48 hours, the storm will move west, then likely change direction to southwest at 25-30 km per hour and gradually weaken into a tropical depression.
To proactively respond to storm Atsani, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control requests: The Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control of the districts: Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Cua Lo town and Hoang Mai town, the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Department of Fisheries and related units to implement the following contents:
Regularly monitor and update the developments of storm Atsani through bulletins from forecasting agencies and on mass media to promptly notify and guide captains, owners of vehicles, boats, and transport ships operating at sea to know the location and direction of the storm so that they can proactively escape or not move into dangerous areas to ensure the safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle bad situations that may occur.
Prepare rescue forces and vehicles to promptly deploy rescue when required.
Organize a serious 24/7 on-duty team, regularly report to the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control.
