In order to strengthen the work of ensuring traffic order and safety, and curbing accidents caused by alcohol, the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province has just issued a plan to coordinate with the commune-level police force in patrolling, controlling, and handling alcohol concentration violations in the whole province.

From October 18, 2025, the Traffic Police force of Nghe An Provincial Police will coordinate with the Police of communes across the province to deploy a peak period of patrolling, controlling and handling violations of regulations on alcohol concentration for drivers. This is one of the strong solutions to prevent traffic accidents caused by alcohol, especially during high-risk hours and areas.

According to the plan, the authorities will organize patrols and controls throughout the province, focusing on key routes, areas near bars, nightclubs, restaurants, eateries, etc. National highways, provincial roads, inter-commune roads and sections where traffic accidents often occur are also key areas for increased inspection.

The subjects of this round of sanctions are mainly drivers of cars, motorbikes and scooters who violate alcohol concentration regulations. In addition, other violations will also be inspected and strictly handled according to the law.

Patrol time is divided into two main time frames: Lunch from 12:00 to 14:30, and evening from 19:00 to 22:00 - these are the times when drinking alcohol while participating in traffic often occurs.

Through this peak period, the authorities hope to raise people's awareness of traffic law compliance, contributing to reducing accidents and building a safe and civilized traffic environment in Nghe An province.
