Nghe An Traffic Police discovered more than 200 cases of drivers violating alcohol concentration during the holidays.

Of the total 649 cases of violations of traffic order and safety, more than 200 cases were related to alcohol concentration violations, one of the main causes of traffic accidents.

According to the results compiled by the Traffic Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police, during the 3-day holiday on the occasion of Hung Kings' Commemoration Day 2025, the department simultaneously deployed the activities of 19 Teams 373 in districts and towns across the province, 15 working groups in coordination between teams, stations, and traffic police groups in districts, cities, and towns under the Traffic Police Department and the Commune, Ward, and Town Police.

Through that, 649 cases of violations of traffic order and safety were detected and recorded. Of which: 203 cases of alcohol concentration violations, 5 cases of drug driving; 100 cases of speeding violations; 95 cases of no driving license; 59 cases of not wearing helmets;... Temporarily detained 16 cars, 219 motorbikes.

According to the leader of the Traffic Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police, the traffic patrol and control plan, implemented in coordination between Team 373, teams, stations, traffic police groups in districts, cities, towns and the Commune, Ward and Town Police, will be maintained continuously and long-term. The goal is to strengthen inspection, control and strictly handle violations of traffic safety and order.

In particular, the traffic police will focus on handling violations such as: speeding, driving in the wrong lane, carrying more people than the prescribed number, not wearing helmets... In particular, special attention will be paid to checking and handling violations related to alcohol concentration, one of the main causes of traffic accidents.

The working groups simultaneously deployed to inspect all routes across the province. In particular, the force proactively changed the time frame and location of inspections continuously, in order to prevent subjects from taking advantage of understanding the working group's operating rules to evade control. With the motto "No forbidden zones, no exceptions", the traffic police force will resolutely handle all violations.
